Roulette Inside Bets

The object of Roulette is to guess where the ball will land when the wheel is spun. Whether you win on an Outside bet or an Inside bet depends on where you placed your chip.

Inside bets offer a varied payout to Ouside bets. They include bets such as:

  • Single Number - The payout on a Single Number bet is 35:1. In French it is known as en plein and means that you are only betting on 1 number at a time in that round.
  • Split Bet - This is a bet on 2 numbers at the same time. The payoff on a Split bet is 17:1; (you are essentially dividing the payoff of your single number bet into 2). In French, the term is known as a cheval and you accomplish the split by placing your chip on the line dividing the 2 numbers on which you would like to bet.
  • Street Bet - Also known as transversale to the French, this is a bet on 3 numbers at the same time. You accomplish this by placing your chip on the line to the left of the row of 3 numbers. The payoff for a Street bet is 11:1; (you are essentially dividing the payoff of your single number bet into 3).
  • Corner Bet - To place a Corner bet, you must place your chip at the intersection of the 4 numbers on which you want to bt. The Payoff for a carre as the French call it is 8:1; (you are essentially dividing the payoff of your single number bet into 4).
  • Double Street Bet - You can actually place a Street Bet or Transversale on 3 numbers. This is called a Double Street or Sixaine. It pays off at 5:1 and you are betting on 6 numbers at once. To accomplish this, you would need to place your chip at the intersection of the two lines at the end of 2 rows of 3 numbers. The Double Street is commonly referred to as the Line Bet.
